Nominations Open for IA Institute Board of Directors 2014-2015
Nominations for seven open Board of Directors seats for the 2014-2015 period are now open and will be accepted until November 29. As discussed in a recent new release, the IA Institute has revised its board makeup and election procedures. Nominations are now for specific roles within the Board, including three mandated, executive roles: President, Secretary and Treasurer and four newly-defined, non-executive roles: Development Director, Membership Director, Director of Programming & Events and Director of Strategic Planning & Projects. The election will be held December 16-23. Candidate position statements and biographies will be posted to this website as soon as we receive their materials. Nominees have the right to accept or decline candidacy for these positions.

Our partner SEGD has announced a new name change. In a move that acknowledges the role of experience, new media, and technology in the future of design, SEGD-the multidisciplinary design community whose members create experiences that connect people to place-has added "Experiential" to its descriptor and mission.
SEGD’s Board of Directors recently voted to change SEGD’s descriptor from Society for Environmental Graphic Design to Society for Experiential Graphic Design.
