Workshop Interculturale 29 settembre: Filosofia e valorizzazione delle diversità

venerdì 29 settembre alle 17.30 si terrà la seconda sessione del workshop interculturale "FILOSOFIA E VALORIZZAZIONE DELLE DIVERSITÀ: La rilevanza interculturale del dialogo comunitario" condotto da Roberto Franzini Tibaldeo.
L’incontro si terrà presso il Negozio Civico ChiAmaMilano, via Laghetto, 2 (Clicca per la mappa — M3 Missori, Duomo; MM1 San Babila, Duomo; Tram e bus n. 94, 77, 12, 15, 23, 27, 54, 60, 73, 84).

Abstract: Nel contesto attuale, segnato dalla pluralità di prospettive e dalla diversità di culture, valori, generi è di fondamentale importanza – in ambito scolastico-educativo, ma non solo – lavorare al consolidamento e all’ampliamento delle competenze atte a gestire tale pluralità e diversità, e ciò al fine di conseguire l’inclusione sociale.

Un aiuto in tal senso può provenire dalla filosofia, in quanto pratica riflessiva in grado di suscitare pensiero critico, creativo e “caring”. Tra le pratiche filosofiche disponibili (filosofia per e con i bambini, la “philosophy for community”, il dialogo socratico, il counseling filosofico, il caffè filosofico, ecc.) la “Philosophy for Children (P4C) elaborata decenni or sono da Matthew Lipman e Ann M. Sharp.
sembra rispondere adeguatamente alla sfida interculturale.

La P4C offre a persone di ogni età la possibilità di fare esperienza di una ricerca comunitaria che mira a condividere, confrontare e analizzare punti di vista diversi e a co-costruire senso e significato; in breve: che mira a realizzare inclusione mediante la valorizzazione delle diversità.

La prima parte dell’incontro si svolgerà secondo la modalità della P4C e consentirà ai partecipanti di sperimentare le potenzialità di tale pratica filosofica nell’ambito interculturale Nella seconda parte si avrà la possibilità di scambiarsi con libertà alcune impressioni suscitate da tale esperienza.

L’incontro è aperto anche a quanti non hanno partecipato alla prima sessione.
Sottolineiamo che questa pratica è particolarmente interessante per quanti operano in campo educativo e formativo a qualunque livello e in qualunque contesto (scolastico istituzionale, formazione degli adulti, formazione aziendale e in contesti organizzativi.)

967d7643-8fd1-432d-a890-d17d25ed5fcc.pngRoberto Franzini Tibaldeo si è laureato in filosofia presso l’Università di Torino. Dal 2001 è docente di ruolo nella scuola pubblica. Nel 2005 ha concluso il dottorato di ricerca in Scienze della cultura presso la Scuola Internazionale di Alti Studi della Fondazione Collegio San Carlo di Modena e nel 2011 il dottorato di ricerca in Filosofia presso l’Università di Torino. Dal 2010 al 2015 è stato assegnista di ricerca in Filosofia politica presso la Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa. Attualmente è ricercatore post-doc presso l’Université catholique de Louvain (Belgio). Tra i suoi interessi di ricerca: intercultura, etiche e politiche della responsabilità, utopia, etica del paesaggio e del territorio, pratiche filosofiche (philosophy for children/community). Da oltre quindici anni collabora con enti e associazioni culturali del Cuneese, impegnati nell’organizzazione di attività di formazione, ricerca e promozione culturale e del territorio. Ha partecipato a progetti di ricerca e formazione su temi interculturali, tra cui “La Scuola di Tutti. Pluralismo, Intercultura, Inclusione, Diritti” (2010-2012) e “A scuola di diversità” (2012-2014; www.ascuoladidiversita.it).

2017 MARGARET D. PUSCH FOUNDERS AWARD

Every year since 2010, we have had the opportunity and pleasure to name a recipient of the Margaret D. Pusch Founders Award.

This announcement is to notify you that nominations are being accepted for the 2017 Margaret D. Pusch Founders Award. The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated commitment and service to the SIETAR community and the intercultural field.

Nominations will close September 1st, 2017 at 11:59 pm eastern standard time (NYC). Nominations should be emailed toinfo.

Members of any SIETAR around the globe are eligible for nomination for the award. Candidates must be nominated by someone other than themselves. The nomination requires support from a minimum of two other individuals who can speak to the nominee’s intercultural work and service. Nominations and supporting information must be provided in a written format.

The Selection Committee, comprised of Patricia Malidor-Coleman, Andy Reynolds, Donna Stringer, Ann Marie Lei and Rob Pusch, will review the nominees applications and make a decision. The successful nominee will be notified a month prior to the SIETAR Annual Conference that will be held October 18-21, 2017 in San Diego, California.

Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication

The 41st annual Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication (SIIC) offers professional development opportunities for people working in education, training, business, and consulting, in both international and domestic intercultural contexts. One of the premier gatherings of professionals in the field of intercultural communication, SIIC presents a unique opportunity to explore up-to-date practices, and to network with others in a stimulating and supportive environment. Workshops are presented in three sessions, plus a series of Sample of SIIC (SOS) workshops on Saturday, July 15. The workshops have been carefully scheduled to make it easy to combine a 3-day workshop in one session with a 5-day workshop in another session.

The pre-congress workshops will take place from Monday, 22nd to Wednesday, 24th of May 2017 in Dublin! Pro-congress workshops typically include new methodologies and tools for the intercultural field shared in a participatory and interactive format!
