New subtrack on terminolgy
Organized by the consortium TaaS: Terminology as a Service, tekom will run a new subtrack during this year’s tcworld conference. The CHAT subtrack focusing on the Creation, Harmonization and Application of Terminology Resources will run as a one-day event on November 7th during the tcworld conference 2013. Practitioners, developers and researchers are now invited to submit their papers. Among others potential topics include automated approaches to terminology extraction, terminology resources in language technology applications, collaborative terminology management and sharing. tekom Trade Fair 2013: only a few spots left!
Registration to exhibit at this year’s tekom Trade Fair is still open but most exhibitors have already secured their spot at the largest event in the field of technical communication and information development. tekom hires legal expert
The tekom team in Stuttgart welcomes a new staff member: Dr. Claudia Klumpp will manage tekom’s Legislation and Standards initiatives. In this role, she will support the work of the tekom Advisory Board Standards and coordinate new projects. Claudia completed her doctorate at the University of Tuebingen and looks back on seven years of work experience. You can contact her at c.klumpp.
